I’ve always said that if you find Twitter useful, then go for it — I just get tired of hearing people talk about it so much, since it’s a pretty basic thing. While I still don’t see any use for it yet for our organization, I have finally set up a personal Twitter account for the sole purpose of posting occasional updates from my trip to Prague this week (mostly to give my nervous family another way to verify that I am still alive).
This assumes that the cellphone I rented actually works like it is supposed to, and more importantly assumes that I am able to figure out how to work the damn thing. (This will be a Blackberry-free trip!)

One of the original but forgotten uses of Twitter. Cheaper than actually calling too.
