A Tip for Job Hunters

We’ve been gathering resumes for a couple positions and it amazes me how many people include personal email addresses that are of a, shall we say, less than professional nature. Here’s a quick tip: when sending out resumes, make sure your email point of contact is not something like ChunkyLover53@aol.com. Be it Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail, try to come up with an email address that is more professional than memorable (and not in a good way).

Heh. When the Richmond, VA sheriff was running for re-election last year, she listed the email address MissBuns@aol.com on her official filing with the election officials. She lost the election.
